Sausage Rolls Recipe

Need an inexpensive dinner idea with only 3 ingredients?  Well my friend it is your lucky day because I have one that will knock your socks off!  I found this recipe on Allrecipes.com.  It is delicious, super easy to make and cheap!  My three favorite things when it comes to cooking.  I made these for a party and they were a huge hit.  Please forgive the photos, once again I left my Nikon at home!

If you would like to make these sausage rolls…

Here’s what you need:

1 lb of spicy Italian sausage (we used Bob Evans brand and it wasn’t too spicy)

1 package of cream cheese

2 tubes of crescent rolls

 Here’s what you do:

Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat.  Once cooked through remove from heat and add in the cream cheese.  Stir until you form a delicious creamy mixture.  On a parchment lined or my favorite SILPAT lined baking sheet spread out one crescent roll.  If you have gotten the kind that is perforated make sure you pinch it to make one whole sheet.  Spoon half the sausage mixture down the middle of the crescent roll.  Fold over the sides and pinch the ends to make a log.

Repeat this procedure with the other crescent roll.  Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

These are seriously good and great for a quick week night meal or party!  You can also lighten this up by using turkey sausage, reduced fat crescent rolls and light cream cheese!

Go and Create!
